What "HDR1000" actually means
The word "HDR" on its own guarantees nothing: a display can accept an HDR signal without ever reproducing the brightness it implies. DisplayHDR 1000 is the top tier of the VESA standard for LCD panels — it requires a peak luminance of 1,000 cd/m² and local dimming backlight, both measured.
